After a couple of unseasonably warm weeks with some rain, most of the snow in the Brainerd Lakes Area melted. But, today temperatures dropped enough for a local ski mountain to create their own snow.
Mount Ski Gull says the they have 7 snow machines which can spread new snow across sixty feet of slopes to make sure there’s plenty of snow during the season.
These machines will make about a foot to foot and a half worth of base on these slopes. But for ideal conditions they like an extra six inches of powder on top.
Mount Ski Gull says the rain and icy conditions aren’t all bad. They say right now their tubing hill is wicked fast and fun.
