Local Documentary Premiers at Twin Cities Film Festival

It’s only five years old, but it’s already making a major splash in the film industry. MovieMaker ranked the Twin Cities Film Festival one of the top 25 coolest film festivals in the world last year. One of the reasons is they cater to a wide variety of moviegoers, including northern Minnesota.
The Twin Cities Film Festival encourages filmmakers to use artists and stories from across Minnesota to raise Minnesota’s star-power in Hollywood.
One of the more touching films at this year’s festival is My Last Breath. It’s a about a teenager, Josh LaRue, who lived near Mille Lacs Lake and almost died during an asthma attack which resulted in him being paralyzed with limited vison and speech. Although LaRue has since moved, the film still shot here Crosby.
Twin Cities Film Festival founder Jatin Setia says it’s important to show moving stories about greater Minnesota to remind us that greatest can come from anywhere.
My Last Breath will make it’s Midwest premier during next week’s film festival.
