Little Falls Sex Offender Sentenced

A Little Falls man was sentenced Wednesday after he was previously convicted for having sexual relations with underage girls.

A complaint filed with the Morrison County Attorney’s Office says 55-year-old Vernon Bob Hintz had sexual contact with four children, all under the age of 16. The document says Hintz had significant relationships will all of them. His conviction was for second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

On Dec. 11, 2015, a young girl told authorities she was sexually abused by a person she had a relationship with and identified Hintz as the offender.

“These were brave children who came forth and told investigators personal details of their abuse. That took a tremendous amount of courage,” Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf said in a release.

In addition to his jail sentence, Hintz must register with authorities as a predatory sex offender and provide a DNA sample for storage and comparison purposes.
