Lakeland Currents: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Prevention – From Brainerd to the World

Lakeland Currents host Ray Gildow welcomes Jody Crowe, Founder and President of Healthy Brains for Children. Mr. Crowe will discuss the “Brainerd Model” of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Prevention that Healthy Brains for Children is bringing to the international prevention community. This model started in Brainerd with the Rotary-supported Beginning the Journey event in 2010. Healthy Brains for Children has become an international leader in the world of prevention, with the world’s first pregnancy test dispenser in a women’s restroom and the newest program, My Baby’s Breath, using incentivized  monitored breathalyzers with alcohol-involved pregnant teens and adults.
