Collin started as the Sports Director/Weekday Anchor at Lakeland News in April 2017. He is in charge of our day-to-day sports operations. He produces all sportscasts for our 10 pm nightly newscast, and shoots, edits, and writes all highlights, packages, and other sports stories to be aired.
Collin began his career working in Wisconsin. He previously worked for WKBT in La Crosse as a sports photographer, reporter, and anchor. He was responsible for shooting, editing, writing, producing, and occasionally anchoring content for the 6 and 10 PM nightly newscasts. Collin has covered the Packers, Vikings, and Wild during his time at WKBT, along with assisting in producing their award-winning “News 8 High School Football Preview Show” the past 2 years.
Collin is a 2015 graduate from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Communication with a Broadcasting and Digital Media emphasis, and a minor in Sports Broadcasting. He also worked as the video coordinator for the UW-L football team for 4 seasons. He produced and hosted his weekly sports show “Eagle Nation” along with being the executive producer and assistant for the student run station, WMCM. He attended high school in Pearl City, IL and graduated from Pearl City High School in 2010, where he was a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball.
In his spare time, Collin likes to follow his favorite sports teams, the Packers, White Sox, Blackhawks, and Illinois Fighting Illini. He also likes to spend time with his large family of 12 brothers and sisters whenever he gets a chance to see them.
