Each year, more than half a million deer-hunters take to the woods in Minnesota, participating in a beloved tradition, while generating half a billion dollars for the state’s economy. On the other hand, thousands of motorists hit whitetails every year in the state. They spread some diseases, and devastate people’s gardens. So how should we best manage the deer population?
