You can find North Twin Lake about 20 miles northeast of Bemidji on Turtle River Lake Road, 8 miles east of U.S. Highway 71. The 326 acre lake is located in the Chippewa National Forest.

The lake’s seclusion makes it a fantastic place to find wildlife. In the first 10 minutes, we saw great blue herons, eagles, and swans.

One of North Twin Lake’s most amazing features is the 14 feet water clarity.

The clear water makes it difficult to catch walleye in daylight, but bass, northern pike, bluegill, sunfish, perch, and crappie continue biting all day long.
