Starting in Cass Lake, take Highway 371 South for 6 miles, then head East on 136th Street for 3 miles. You’ll find Lake Thirteen in the thick of the Chippewa National Forest.

Because the lake often gets overlooked, the water clarity is a remarkable 10 feet.
The clarity means anglers need to cast into the weeds.
The 555 acre lake contains crappie, bluegill, northern, walleye,  perch, and bass.
