Take Minnesota Highway 371 about a mile and a half south of Nisswa. Head east on County Road 13 and south on Camp Lincoln Road.  You found Lake Hubert.

The nearly 1,300 acre lake kicked up some sizable waves on Saturday, creating challenging fishing conditions, but we still found plenty of fish.

There is not really a bad spot on the lake, as long as you stay in the vegetation.

The fish pile up because of proactive measures. All bass over 12 inches must be released, and the lake is stocked every 3 years for walleye.

Tournament angler Mandy Uhrich “The Bassing Biologist” catches one bass after another, answering the challenge from fellow “Lake of the Week” host Bryan “Beef” Sathre.

In addition to bass and walleye, Lake Hubert offers plenty of Northerns and panfish, including Uhrich’s personal nemesis, a crappie she calls “One-Eyed Willy.”
