Little Falls has a new police chief.

The city council appointed Kyle Johnson to that position on April 15. Johnson has 20 years of experience in law enforcement and started his career as a Little Falls police officer in 2004.

He is replacing longtime Little Falls Police Chief Greg Schirmers, who retired in February.
