June is the month of the loon on Lakeland PBS.

Beginning Monday evening, each week night during our ten o’clock newscast we will feature a new picture of the Minnesota state bird.

The photos are provided by award-winning educator/writer/photographer/storyteller Steve Maanum. Maanum will also be providing facts about loons for each day’s photos.

Make sure to keep an eye out for your favorite photo throughout the month.
