The Eagle Eye Weather Watchers is a way for weather enthusiasts to connect with Lakeland News by sharing their weather observations. This provides Lakeland News the opportunity to show how the weather is changing around our viewing area. We will also be using this information during our weather each night during Lakeland News.
Our Eagle Eyes are the ones who are always talking about last night’s storms, tomorrow’s forecast or the cool cloud formation they saw. The reports submitted come from each Eagle Eye’s homes, work, school, or cabin; the information comes from their personal weather stations. Each Eagle Eye tells us what the temperature is, how much rain or snow they received, share photos or video of current weather related sights, and have a direct line to the Lakeland’s Newsroom when they see severe or unusual weather in their community. The Eagle Eye’s that report their weather information on the Eagle Eye Weather Watcher Facebook group will likely have it highlighted each night on Lakeland News. We ask our Eagle Eyes to please have your weather reports submitted each weekday by 9:15p.m.
If you are interested and have a thermometer and rain gauge you can join and be part of Lakeland New’s Eagle Eye Weather Watchers group.
