Itasca County Gives Update on Vaccination Progress

Another 250 COVID-19 vaccines will be given to people older than than the age of 65 in Itasca County.

The county recently reported that almost 50% of that demographic has received at least one dose. And they released more good news: almost 20% of the entire community aged 16 and up has received at least one shot.

But with this good news comes some discouraging news as well, as more and more reports are popping up of people not wearing masks in the area. Kelly Chandler of Itasca County Public Health says that even with vaccines and the end of the road seemingly in sight, we’re not there yet, and that everyone needs to do what they can to keep their neighbors safe until the finish line is reached.
