Insurance Experts in Bemidji This Week to Speak with Storm Victims

Bemidji area storm victims who want to speak with insurance experts can do so this week.

Staff from the Minnesota Department of Commerce are planning to be in-person in Bemidji at the old First National Bank express bank building on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They can help in many areas, including:

• how to make an insurance claim,
• how to document the damage to your property,
• what to do expect during the claims handling process,
• common coverage issues on homeowner’s insurance policies relating to storm damage,
• if you are having communication problems with your insurance company, how the department can help,
• how you can file a complaint with the department if you believe your insurance company has not handled your claim property,
• and anything else having to do with insurance claims.

The insurance experts will be at the old First National Bank express bank on 5th Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16th and Thursday, July 17th, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 18th.
