In Focus: Mural Painting Encourages Reading in Eagle View Elementary School

An elementary school library has been attracting more students than usual – thanks to mural artist Greg Preslicka.

The mural features a series of Minnesota animals coming together to share and encourage reading.

Eagle View Elementary School faculty member Pat Kvale has envisioned a series of mural painting since a decade ago, and that vision comes to life this week.

Students have been peeking in and out of the library since Preslicka brushed on a splash of color.
