Nestled deep in the woods near Black Bear Road is a kiln that belongs to a charming business called black Bear Pottery. The potters create everything from sculptures, functional pottery for kitchens, to fountains.

Black Bear Pottery has designated days for potters to bring their creations. Working the kiln is a group effort and time consuming but it is very rewarding.

The black Bear Potters come together to fire up the kiln two times a year making it a fun occasion.

This time the potters not only got together to open the kiln they also hosted their first annual “Fall Wood Fire Frolics” members of the community could come and look at the creations, talk to the artists, and even make some purchase.

Black Bear Pottery is hoping that the public will love and enjoy their creations as much as they do.
