Ideal Fire Department hosts 37th annual Beef Feed

Come and get it. For the 37th time, the Ideal Fire Department served up corn, beef and watermelon by the truckload. The firefighters cooked up over 2,000 pounds of beef and more than 6,000 ears of corn. But the event is more than just raising money for the fire department and local charities; it’s become an iconic summer event for the community.

One ticket provided you with an all you could eat and if that wasn’t enough the fire department sold extra beef and corn for the beef feeders to take home with them. Now it’s time to digest and rest, and once Ideal comes out of their food coma it’ll be time to do it again next year.
