Icy Roads Sends Three To Hospital

According to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office a vehicle crash occurred on County Road 44 on Dec. 6. in Brainerd. At the time of the crash the roads were iced over and extremely slippery.

It was reported that an adult male, a juvenile female and a juvenile male had been struck by a pickup truck. All three of the individuals were trying to pull a vehicle from the ditch when the incident occurred.

The pickup truck involved in the crash was traveling eastbound on County Road 44, went out of control, and collided with a sports utility vehicle that was parked on County Road 44 being used to pull the vehicle from the ditch.

The three victims were transported to the hospital and treated for injuries.
