Hundreds Protest at Rep. Pete Stauber’s Office in Brainerd

Hundreds of people in the Brainerd Lakes Area came out on Saturday at U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber’s office in Brainerd to protest and demand courage, transparency, and accountability from the congressman.

Stauber recently voted in favor of what has been dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” by President Trump. Protesters argued that his vote in favor of the legislation, which includes cuts to Medicaid and SNAP funding, would directly harm residents in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District.

Protests were also held in Hermantown, Chisholm, and Forest Lake as a coordinated effort by the Indivisible organization to protest Rep. Stauber’s actions.
