House Fire Causes Significant Damage to Two Homes Bemidji

Bemidji- Two homes suffered significant damage from a fire Monday morning.

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to a house fire reported at 2:42 AM in Helga Township. When firefighters arrived on the scene,  one house was completely engulfed in flames and a second home that was under construction also on fire. The fire caused an estimated $220,000 in damage to the structures and contents. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The fire department was assisted at the scene by the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office and Bemidji Ambulance Service.
