Hopkins, MN Man Dies in ATV Crash Near Grand Rapids

A 62-year-old Hopkins man died in an ATV crash near Grand Rapids on Sunday.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Rory John Strachota was operating an ATV just before 8 p.m. in Arbo Township when the crash occurred and he was ejected from the vehicle. Lifesaving measures were performed, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other riders were reported injured. The incident is still under investigation.
