Highway 89 Overpass Nears Completion

Highway 2 and Highway 89 intersect in a way that has caused countless accidents. In fact, that particular area has the third highest collision rate in the state. As a result, the Minnesota Department of Transportation partnered with KGM Contractors to find a more permanent solution.

The result will be better turning lanes and an overpass over Highway 2, which will divert traffic away from the point where accidents have occurred in the past. On average, six crashes have happened per year in that area.
