Heat Advisory And Warnings Issued For Most Of The Lakeland Viewing Area

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory Beltrami County until 9 p.m.

Heat index values could near 104 degrees, which is fueled by high temperatures and humidity. The Weather Service has also issued an excessive heat warning areas south and west of Beltrami County, with heat index values near110 degrees.

The hot and humid weather is expected to continue through Friday. The National Weather Service forecasts a high of 91 on Wednesday and a high of 90 on Thursday for the Bemidji area.

People are encouraged to drink plenty of water, and stay in air-conditioned buildings, avoid the sun and keep animals sheltered with plenty of water.
