Growing cellphone use
The iPhone was introduced seven years ago. And since then cellphones seem like they’re everywhere. Recently people have been challenged on the Internet to go 15 minutes without using their device. It seems like a daunting task. And unfortunately there’s one place where growing cellphone use has become dangerous. However one local school has taken the possible distraction of smartphones and turned them into a learning tool.
A recent study from found 65% of respondents say its acceptable to use your cellphone while walking down the street and almost 30% say it’s ok to use your phone while eating dinner with others.
As the smartphone technology evolves it’ll be interesting to see how parents, schools and regulations will change to keep up with our infectious need to be connected.
