Grand Rapids High School Students Bring Home Top Ranks for Custom-built Electric Car

First Robotics class students of Grand Rapids High School competed and snatched top ranks at the Shell Eco-Marathon competition 2016.

Their battery electric prototype vehicle won 4th place in highest efficiency ratings, ranking behind Sherbrooke University, Oregon University and Duke University. The Grand Rapids team is also ranked the top high school team in North America and South America.

They attribute their success to former students and teachers who have laid the foundation in the past years.

The team of 13 is supervised by Brandon Laloux, and formerly Dan Bredemus.
