Grand Rapids Girls Basketball Back At State

Four straight years and four straight losses didn’t extend to four when the Grand Rapids Girls Basketball team took down defending champ Princeton in the Section 7AAA final last week. For the Thunderhawks, that win was due in part to a new attitude the team took on over the summer. Now Grand Rapids is back at state for the first time since 2011. And while the team doesn’t have any previous state experience, they believe their youth could propel them in to the tournament, if they continue to play defense.
