GOP Choose Gazelka As Senate Majority Leader

According to the Associate Press Republicans have chosen Sen. Paul Gazelka as Senate majority leader.

Gazelka, a third-term senator is a central Minnesota lawmaker from Nisswa.

His selection reflects the rural gains Republican made to take control from Democrats. The Republicans flipped eight seats to retake control of the chamber.

According to the Associate Press, Gazelka will join Republican House Speaker Kurt Daudt and Gov. Mark Dayton at the negotiating tables as the most powerful trio in Minnesota politics.
