Good Food, Good Life, 365 – Pumpkin Spice Blend

Pumpkin Spice Blend

2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons nutmeg
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground cloves
Blend all spices together in a small bowl. Store in jar with a tight-fitting lid. Makes 1/4 cup.

Sue’s Tips
Use this spice blend to replace cinnamon in your favorite baked goods.
Put 1 teaspoon of this spice blend in the coffee grounds of your drip coffee maker.
Add a pinch to your cup of tea.
Pop 2/3 cup popcorn kernels. In a small saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter with 2 tablespoons mild honey. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice blend. Drizzle over popped corn. Sprinkle with salt.
Add 1 teaspoon spice blend to 1 quart apple cider. Heat and drink.
