Golden Apple: Students Celebrate Manufacturing Day

For one day, Bemidji High School students have a different kind of class on their schedules. As part of a statewide awareness day, local manufacturers opened their doors to show students what today’s advanced manufacturing world is all about. Around 30 students participated in a tour of Nortech Systems today where they got to see electromechanical manufacturing in action. The tours highlight manufacturing’s importance to the Bemidji region and show students what life is like outside of the classroom and inside the real world. Instructors and industry professionals hope that the new insight will  lead to more interest in manufacturing jobs after graduation.
