Golden Apple: Native American Dancing in Elementary Schools

Powwow music filled the gymnasium of Northern Elementary School, prompting students to dance along to the rhythm.

Native American fancy dancer Larry Yazzie leads his dance group, Native Pride Dancers, to motivate and inspire kids through their music and dance. He wants to create a cycle and bridge the gap between cultures.

Through his stories, Yazzie hopes to break stereotypes and create a better understanding of ethnic groups in the community.
