Golden Apple: Lowell Elementary Kindergartners Plant Take A Field Trip To The Forest

Lowell Elementary School kindergartners took a trip to the forest to experience the beauty of nature.

Every year the Lowell Elementary kindergartners make a trip to the forest to learn about nature.

The kindergartners have been caring for a baby tree named Porky. While on the trip they dug a permanent home for Porky in the kindergarten grove.

The nature field trip is part of a Brainerd school district tradition.

Taking students out of the classroom and exposing them to the outdoors is vital to their education.

And the kindergartners were over flowing with the excitement of the day.
