Golden Apple: Brainerd High School Opens New Student Success Center

Brainerd High School remodeled their guidance counselors’ offices to create a student success center that easy to find and more accessible for the students to use.
Fischer says the more welcoming center has increased the student involvement and has become a better tool for the students compared to the old guidance counselors’ offices.
The new student success center helps students plan for classes this year as well as college and career planning and person and social counseling.
Fischer says he’s seen a more positive feedback from Brainerd High School students. He says they feel more willing to come in and ask for help rather than feeling like they were in trouble before.
