Volunteers in the Cass Lake community brought back a program called Gift We Love for the fifth consecutive year this holiday season.

In the program, toys purchased through donations are given out to kids in need throughout Beltrami County. It’s headquartered at a high school on the Leech Lake Reservation. They typically service between 500 to 1,000 children.

Parents who take part visit the gym and choose a gift. There is a limit of one gift per child.

This year’s giveaway had lower numbers, serving just under 130 kids.
