Friday Stabbing Victim In Fair Condition

A 20-year-old woman that was stabbed Friday while walking in downtown Bemidji, is reported to be in fair condition according to the Bemidji Pioneer .

The woman was stabbed nine times according to the police report. She was stabbed three times in the neck and once in the left breast. The victim is currently at the Sanford Trauma Center in Fargo, ND.

According to a police report, an adult female walking on Irvine Ave NW, was identified as the possible suspect in the case. After further investigation, it was determined to be a different woman who was then arrested for an outstanding warrant in an unrelated matter.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call the Bemidji Police Department.
