Free Skin Cancer Screening At Bemidji Dermatology Clinic

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, there are 5 million cases diagnosed in the United States each year.

The Sanford Bemidji Dermatology Clinic will be holding a free skin screening for concerned people in Bemidji. Dr. Natalie Roholt, a dermatologist at Sanford Bemidji Dermatology Clinic, said there will be about 192,000 cases of melanoma diagnosed in 2019 and that it’s important to spot skin cancer like melanoma before it gets too deep. Melanoma is the third most common skin cancer.

“They can itch, they can bleed, they can look really ugly. They’re generally larger than the size of a pencil eraser and they can be irregular in border and irregular in pigment and have a different color of pigment. All the way red white and blue to black, very dark brown and black,” Dr. Natalie Roholt said.
