Four Minnesotans Arrested in Crosby Meth Raid

Three Crosby, Minn., residents and one Garrison, Minn., resident were arrested at approximately 6:30 p.m. March 15 on charges ranging from 5th degree possession of a controlled substance to 1st degree possession of a controlled substance, along with child endangerment and weapons charges.

Crosby MN Drug BustAccording to Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl, agents from the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division (LADID) executed a search warrant at a residence on the 800 block of Pine Street in Crosby. The search warrant was in connection to an ongoing investigation involving the sale and distribution of methamphetamine.

Those arrested include Curtis Lee Hiltbrunner, 32, of Crosby; Melissa Sue Hiltbrunner, 28, of Crosby; Nicholas John Schuman, 35, of Crosby; and Trishanda Joelle Rude, 30, of Garrison.

The search resulted in 3 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, a number of baggies and scales related to drug sales, a firearm, and various drug paraphernalia. In addition, four children present at the house were placed in emergency foster care. The street value of the seized meth is estimated around $9,000.

The Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team, Crosby Police Dept. and Minnesota State Patrol also assisted in the investigation and search warrant. All four suspects are currently being held at the Crow Wing County Jail.
