Former Red Lake Standout Rob McClain Jr. Commits to DI Texas Rio Grande Valley

After making a name for himself at Red Lake High School and earning All-American honors at United Tribes Technical College, Rob McClain Jr. is going Division I.

Today, McClain signed with The University of Texas Rio Grand Valley of the Western Athletic Conference. McClain was an NJCAA All-American this past season averaging over 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists per game while leading the NJCAA in field goals made and defensive rebounding.

In his final season at Red Lake, he averaged over 16 points per game and was a part of the dynasty that made it to the state tournament four years in a row.
