Former Bemidji Mayor Files to Regain Office


A former Bemidji mayor will challenge Rita Albrecht for the same seat in the 2016 election cycle. Richard Lehmann served from 2000-2010. He was on city council for six years prior to taking office.

In 2010, he did not seek a new term after deciding to run for a Minnesota state house seat. Rita Albrecht became mayor in 2012 and won a new term in 2014. We will have more on Wednesday’s Lakeland News broadcast.
