First Responders Setup Camp at Timberwood Church

More than 2,000 homes are still without power around Gull Lake in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Many homes have their water systems synced with their power supply. And that has caused for a lot of uncertainty for those affected by Sunday’s storm. That’s why Crow Wing County first responders have set up a camp at Timberwood Church in Nisswa to help those affected or connect them with others like Bridges for Hope or Lutheran Social Services.

While Crow Wing County Sheriff officials say this is one of the worst storms to hit the Brainerd Lakes Area in decades, the volunteers say it’s nothing they can’t handle.

Those affected are welcomed to get what they need between 8AM and 7PM as well as anyone who wants to come volunteer or donate.
