Firefighters Union Decides to Sue the City of Brainerd

After careful deliberation the Brainerd firefighters union has decided to sue the city. They feel that were targeted and their rights had been violated.

So far the union says they have had little assistance from the city.

The union is concerned that after the city laid off all five of the full time equipment operators that the quality of service has gone down as well.

If they win the suit they have a few request.

The city representatives were not available for an interview. However, City Council President Gary Scheeler did release a statement that states “ I am sad that it has to come down to this but I wish them the best”
