Fifth Graders Learn and Tells Us Ways to Conserve H20

Water is a necessity but what do we really know about its current state? Perhaps some fifth graders can tell us more.

The Itasca Water Legacy Partnership organized its 5th annual Itasca Youth Water Summit at the Itasca County Fairgrounds Tuesday.

About 400 students travel through over 40 stations, learning about its history, what water pollution is, what can we do to stop it, along with a pinch of chemistry.

This community event is assisted by volunteers and presenters such as school teachers, topic experts and representatives from the DNR.

Water conversation is particularly important and relevant here in Northern Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Watch more to find out what we can do with children for a brighter future.
