Family of Daunte Wright Remembers Him During Funeral Service

The family of Daunte Wright remembered their loved one during his funeral service Thursday.

The 20-year-old died on April 11 after being shot by a Minnesota police officer during an arrest attempt. Wright’s mother Katie was emotional as she spoke during the service. Wright’s father and siblings also spoke during the service, saying life will never be the same without him.

Wright was born in St. Paul and moved to Minneapolis when he was seven. The officer who shot Wright said she mistook her gun for her taser. She has since resigned and now faces a charge of second-degree manslaughter.
