Falls Prevention Awareness Day

Elderly people face a common risk of falling down at old age.

A fall can result in injury, and to show people how to avoid an incident from occurring, Sanford Health and the National Coalition on Aging demonstrated equipment that people can use.

To avoid falling down, Sanford says older adults should be involved in a balanced physical activity schedule, have their medications reviewed frequently and get eyes and ears checked every year. They should also have a supportive home environment.
