Falling Gas Prices Could Start to Impact Car Sales

$2.39 a gallon is the price for gas in Brainerd today. Gas has now dropped about $0.90 per gallon in the last three month. And oil experts don’t expect gas prices to go up anytime soon. However, despite the more than a dollar drop in the price of gas since the summer, car dealerships haven’t yet to see a change in their customers’ buying habits.
This week the Department of Energy says they predict the nation gas average to stay under $2.60 a gallon in 2015. And Motors N More says they’re starting to stock up on their trucks and SUVs.
But for right now even with the major drop in the price of gas, Mills GM says their customers are attracted to their new design for their 2014 line of cars and are replacing their older models that have 200 to 250 thousand miles on them.
