Erickson’s Greenhouse Honors Veterans at Fort Snelling Through Wreaths of Honor Project

Since eighteen eighty three the community has come to the Erickson Greenhouse to get all of their decorative holiday carnations. Through their “Wreaths of Honor Project” the Erickson’s Greenhouse wanted to give back to a special group that sometimes gets overlooked around the holidays.

The “Wreathes of Honor Project” has one goal, and that is to ensure that every marker at Fort Snelling at some point gets a wreath for Christmas. This not an easy task, Fort Snelling has over two hundred thousand markers.

In order to ensure the success of the project the Erickson’s Greenhouse has enlisted the support of the community

The Greenhouse has been working on the wreathes since the end of October. Their goal is to raise enough money to make fifteen hundred wreathes this year. To make the most out of each donation the Greenhouse keeps the price as low as possible.

For the Erickson Greenhouse, making the wreathes has become a family affair with three generations helping to pitch in.

With the help from the community The Erickson Greenhouse will continue to work to reach their goal .
