Equine Assisted Learning
Sometimes it seems like the only one who understands your problems is your pet, that’s why a Bemidji woman is using horse and human interaction to teach people how to connect. Liz Letson, a licensed counselor, is bringing psychological concepts into life’s arena. At the Eagle Vista Equine Center, people of all ages can work on their emotional and mental health through equine assisted learning. It’s not a riding program, but an exercise based on horse and human interaction to boost confidence and build character. Each session usually lasts about an hour, but can differ depending on the people and the horses.
