Drone Usage Requires Safety Steps

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration are both warning people to follow safety steps when using remote-controlled toys.

These drones have the potential to cause harm to property or person, as well as interfere with airport security, if used incorrectly. At least a million of them are expected to be sold this holiday season.

Drones need to be flown at lower than 400 feet. They should also be used only in open field or yards where the user can see them. When possible, they should be kept away from crowds of people and buildings.
