Downed Power Line in Bemidji Starts Fire Near Lakeland PBS Studios

A live power line went down right across from the Lakeland PBS station in Bemidji just before 5:30 PM Monday.

Cars were driving by on the road at the time, but the line fell into the ditch and not the road, and no one was near it at the time it fell. Bemidji fire crews and Otter Tail Power Company workers responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
