Donald Trump To Back Away From Business Ahead Of Presidency

Donald Trump says he will step away from his business ventures to focus on his role as the 45th president of the United States.

Trump tweeted, “I will be leaving my great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country to make America great again. While I am not mandated to do this under the law, I feel it is visually important, as president, to in no way have a conflict of interest with my various businesses.”

It’s been a busy week for the president elect as he continues to announce members of his cabinet.

He is expected to appoint former Goldman Sachs executive Steven Mnuchin as secretary of Treasury. Billionaire investor Wilbur Ross was chosen as commerce secretary.
