This particular fishing event was for the novice. The dock fishing program at Lake Bemidji State Park aims to get people interested in fishing. The dock offers a good place for inexperience anglers to start off on the right foot. One great feature of docks is their accessibility.

You can lead an angler to water, but you cannot make the fish bite. Knowing the right bait for the job helps. The anglers used leeches and crawlers both with and without bobbers to limited success.
